Press Release Summary = A young African-American woman who did not allow tragedies, hardships and struggles hold her back from pushing for what she believed in.

Press Release Body = At an early age Ms. Yvonne Pierre was faced with challenges, but she refused to let the tragedies, hardships and struggles as excuses to hold her back. She chose to use her past as fuel to make a difference. The journey she was faced as a small child and adolescent almost made her throw away her dreams. Her father was murdered when she was only 2 years old. Molested from the age of 5 until she was 10, she was later date raped twice. Having to cope with so much at a young age, made her start to give up hope in herself and life. By the time she reached high school she was already an alcoholic, and felt she had to drink to be sober. Education was becoming unimportant, as she was banned from public school. After witnessing the murder of a close friend and losing many others around her to drugs and violence, she decided she wanted more out of life.

She made the choice to finish high school and tried to go to college, but failed the entrance exam the first time. Barely knowing how to read and spell, the embarrassment alone made her push harder than ever before. Studying night and day to pass the basic entry exam, she later went back and passed it. Overcoming a first year that was a bit of a struggle, she became an honor roll student. She then graduated 5 years later with not one, but two degrees: one in Accounting and the other in Business Management.

Today, at the young age of 33, she is drug free and posses a very positive attitude. She is a proud mother of two boys, Zyair (age 12) and Zyon (age 3) her younger son was born with Down syndrome. Both boys were the inspiration behind her company’s name, Zyonair’s Unlimited, LLC.

Zyonair’s Unlimited was originally organized to be a publishing company, but this all changed when Ms. Pierre read an article about a mother who murdered her six-month-old daughter because she had Down syndrome. This mother believed that her child was going to suffer. That same woman later committed suicide. Ms. Pierre stopped everything that she was working on and dedicated her entire company towards launching an online magazine called, HYH (Have Ya Heard) Online. Its sole purpose being promoting positive Down syndrome awareness through celebrating the ABILITIES of individuals with special needs, offering resources and more importantly giving
HOPE. Without any funding for this project, Ms. Pierre is self-taught and uses the skills she has learned, such as logo, graphic and web design, marketing and promotion to not only promote her own work with HYH Online, but offers these services to others. HYYOnline.com launched in January 2005. After re-launching in August 2005 it has 150 members within two months and continues to grow. Before the end of the year, Ms. Pierre will also be launching HYH Online TV and HYH Online Radio in efforts to promote these talented artists and soon athletes.

Ms. Pierre states, “The Creator is like a personal trainer who knows how much weight is needed to make you stronger. That straight is needed to make you strong enough to handle what is to come. Some believe that trials, struggles come from the devil to push us to give up. Some believe that it is the Creators way of making us stronger. I believe either way, I cannot give up. We are supplied with everything we need to accomplish what we are destined to do. I have come a long way but I still have a long way to go.”
