Greensboro, NC- On April 13, 2006, Bishop Andrew Merritt and Pastor Viveca Merritt of Straight Gate International Church along with an enthusiastic cadre of area religious leaders, unveiled that the Third Annual “One In Worship” Praise and Worship Conference will commence at the Greensboro Coliseum on June 2nd-3rd. Headlining this extravaganza will be a mega line-up of speakers such as Pastor Sheryl Brady, Bishop T.D. Jakes and Bishop Liston Page. An estimated 50,000 people of all denominations from around the world will attend this special event envisioned and brought to fruition by Bishop Merritt, Pastor Merritt and the Straight Gate International Church.
Bishop Merritt summed up his vision, “Church is not Black or White, Man or Woman, Jew or Gentile, but it is comprised of individuals who have been born again by the spirit of the living God.” Bishop Andrew Merritt and Pastor Viveca Merritt who founded the Straight Gate International Church in 1978 have seen their church grow to an emerging congregation of 5,000.
