New ways of life in Costa Rica

Released on: April 14, 2008, 3:29 pm

Press Release Author: Cynthia Deslauriers

Industry: Real Estate

Press Release Summary: Feel better. Live wiser.

A FREE half-day seminar will be held at the Santa Monica Public Library on Sunday,
April 27th at 1pm. Speakers and professionals from Costa Rica and the United States
will share their insight into what we can achieve in a peaceful developing country
and a new community.

Press Release Body: There is every sign that our society is in a destructive phase.
If you look at the incidence of diagnosed mental illness it is pretty shocking.
Anxiety disorders are at 16.4 % in adults, and 9.5% of adult Americans suffer from
depression, not to mention health and obesity problems.

A new way of living, pursuing the true luxuries of life may remedy this situation.
By combining innovation, traditions, community and care for our environment we are
finding newer, better ways of life. There is a need for change surrounding the
planet, and we are pioneering and exploring the possibilities by creating a new
society in Costa Rica, Central America.

Last year, National Geographic and Quest Network discovered a new Blue Zone in
Northern Costa Rica where adults have the longest life expectancy in the world. Blue
Zones are places in the world where people live longer, healthier lives, probably
happier ones to. This Land is our canvas when creating a sustainable Costa Rican
community featuring LEED™ certified Homes.
