DSV to Build New Distribution Facility in Scotland

Press Release Body: LONDON, 10 July 2008 – DSV has signed a £3.4 million contract with Glascow-based McKean & Company in order to build a new distribution facility at Eurocentral in Lanarkshire, Scotland. The new facility, which compliments DSV’s recent growth, will incorporate a cross-dock and storage warehouse an office facilities.
According to a spokesperson close to the development, the construction project is expected to take 36-weeks to complete. The facility will further enhance and assist with DSV’s current operations within UK. Already a large entity within the UK, DSV’s operations are comprised of 1500 staff positioned in 27 locations, offering 70,000m2 of terminal storage. DSV operate over 200 UK Distribution vehicles to provide a trunking network between 7 strategically placed hubs.
McKean Group Managing Director, Dave Noar, noted, \"The market place is very competitive at the moment so we are delighted to have secured this important contract.\"
René Falch Olesen, UK managing director at DSV Road, further stated, “We are very pleased with the project. We are looking forward to the completion so that DSV can continue our expansion within Scotland and commence with increased services from the new distribution facility.”
