Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami to Host Benefit Luncheon `Jazz at Joes`

Released on: August 23, 2008, 5:35 pm

Press Release Author: Blueprint Creative Group

Industry: Non Profit

Press Release Summary: The Women’s Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater
Miami will host an annual benefit luncheon with lunch provided by Joe’s Stone Crab
in South Beach and attended by Miami’s elite socialites.

Press Release Body: MIAMI, FL, August 26, 2008 – Miami’s socialites and
philanthropic leaders will convene on October 19th, 2008 for an annual benefit
luncheon, “Jazz at Joes,” at Joe’s Stone Crab in South Beach to raise funds in
support of the mentoring programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami
(BBBS). Organized by the Women’s Committee of BBBS of Greater Miami, the benefit
event will be hosted by Luis Aguirre from WSVN’s Deco Drive and will be well
attended by some of Miami’s most influential. With the support of the attendees,
corporate sponsors, and the community at-large the fundraising goals will help BBBS
of Greater Miami better serve its community as it moves forward into its fiftieth
year of service to the Greater Miami area.

The annual “Jazz at Joes” signature fundraising benefit is in its fourth year of
service and supported the mentoring programs at BBBS Greater Miami. These mentoring
programs go on to serve local youth in ways never imagined. From a teen
contemplating suicide to a child growing up in a single parent home without a
positive male influence, these mentoring programs have played a significant role in
turning around these young impressionable lives to give them a better sense of
purpose. As a supporter of the event, corporate sponsors and attendees can play a
vital role in ensuring that every child in the Greater Miami area who needs and
yearns for the mentoring program can be served and paired up with qualified and
committed mentors.

Several sponsorship and underwriting opportunities are available in support of the
benefit luncheon. To play an active role in the community and join as a sponsor and
secure reservations as an attendee, please contact Jennifer Schwartz at (305)
644-0066 ext. 294 or jschwartz@bbbsmiami.org.
