Press Release Summary: Inspired by the paintings of the old Masters, Daxa has
created the collection in vibrant colors, with harp backdrops. This collection is
her tribute to the best artists of yester years, they are Daxa's best works in
recent times.

Press Release Body: Recently at India Habitat Centre Ms. Yash Kohli presented a
collection of paintings named 'Masters Recreated' by Mumbai-based artist Daxa
Khandwala. The exhibition expresses the emotions, opinions and ideas with
paintbrush. Daxa is a self taught painter, her works, well-known in the Indian art
circle, depicts modernity and strong feminism in abstract forms.
The exhibition started with the Lighting of the lamp by Ms. Prabha Thakur, Dr.
Shobhna Shah, Ms. Yash Kohli, Daxa Khandwala. During the exhibition Mrs. Kiran
Mohan, Promila Saraf, Kartar Hemrajan, Raghu Vyas, Mr. Baljit Chadha, Manisha Jha,
Elizabeth, Victor Vijay Kumar, Lovy Singh and others were also present. The
collection of 'Masters Recreated' is to revive the rich Golden Era of art,
highlighting the essence of the Masters' works in her abstract way.
Inspired by the paintings of the old Masters, Daxa has created the collection in
vibrant colors, with harp backdrops. This collection is her tribute to the best
artists of yester years, they are Daxa's best works in recent times.
The collection of over 20 paintings, the exhibition is a tribute to both the old
Masters and especially to Shri Razaji, one of the finest contemporary painters.
These pieces of work brilliantly combine the impressions of the old and new, in the
artists, unmatched strokes.
Over the years, her work developed into abstract forms with the urban female in
focus. Daxa Said, "My paintings are what I am. My thoughts command my brush and a
picture unveils on my canvas."
