Headland Freight Services Ltd, a sister company of Parcel2Go,
is providing small traders in the UK with a new, cost effective way to
ship from the Far East.
Parcel2Go is the largest online parcel delivery company in the UK and has 400,000 eBay traders on its database.
“We figured that all these eBayers would need help importing their stock from China
in a more cost effective manner,” said Fil Adams-Mercer, founder of Parcel2Go.
“Due to the volume of containers we’re organizing out of China we’re able to offer a
consolidation service of several eBayers stock into one container. Reducing the cost
for everyone and eliminating the need to buy a full container of stock!”
Headland Freight Services Ltd has now been shortlisted for the IFW Innovation Award,
one of the industry's most prestigious gongs, but they will be up against some big
name competition - Maersk Line, DB Schenker and P&O Ferrymasters. Last year's
winner was UPS.
"We're delighted to be in the final for such a major award, it really shows that
our approach is giving something new to our customers," said Chris Veale, director
at Headland Freight Services. "We know we're up against some of the biggest
businesses in the world, but we're hopeful that our customer focused approach will
shine through."
Headland Freight Services takes the headache out of importing for SMEs and first
time importers. By simplifying the process, HFS allows businesses with small
volumes, who would have previously been dissuaded by cost, paperwork and risk, to
import product from overseas whilst helping freight forwarders fill their
containers.

About Parcel2Go
Parcel2Go has struck partnerships with the world’s leading worldwide courier companies, including FedEx, DHL, UPS and City Link in
order to offer customers a cheaper and more flexible parcel delivery service.
The company was founded in 2000 by Fil Adams-Mercer following the successful sale of
a video rental business to Blockbuster. The business was borne out of a magazine
distribution interest which operated out of a stairwell of one of the video stores
in Bolton. The company developed an online presence during the first dot.com boom
and has since steadily grown to be one of the UK’s leading parcel delivery services. http://www.parcel2go.com/
